An Invitation from the Pastor

At every worship service, Jesus Christ is present with us and transforms sinners into saints and makes the dead to live eternally. Those are nothing short of miracles. I invite you to come and experience that at a worship service at St. John's.

A Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Church for Dyckesville

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a denomination that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith, a faith built on “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone” (Eph. 2:20). The LCMS, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., is mission-oriented and Bible-based. LCMS doctrine reflects the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther, as summarized in The Book of Concord: The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dyckesville, Wisconsin, is a small lakeshore community in southern Door County, nestled along the western shore of Green Bay between the cities of Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay. Known for its quiet rural surroundings, nearby waterfront, and easy access to the Door County peninsula, Dyckesville offers a blend of country living and connection to the communities along the bay. St. John’s Lutheran Church is located in nearby Algoma, and welcomes individuals and families from Dyckesville who are looking for a church home grounded in the historic Christian faith. Our congregation gathers around God’s Word and the sacraments, with worship centered on the Divine Service and the enduring teachings of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. At St. John’s, we seek to share the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, grow together in faith, and extend Christian love to our neighbors. Whether you live in Dyckesville or the surrounding communities, we invite you to make the drive to Algoma and join us for worship. We look forward to welcoming you!
